What to bring next Hydro Manila
A week before the most awaited HYDRO MANILA 2016 there was already
a list of more than 50 artist that would be performing and the time.
( photo source: HydroManila facebook )
They also did announced that the gates would be opened at 1pm.
So here are the essentials that I brought with me last August 27
and I hope it would be helpful for you or at least you will have
an idea to what to bring next HydroManila.
I don't pretend to be an expert at this lol
but these are things I thought would be essential to have in a music festival.
☾ Cap/ baseball cap - not only for porma but it would be helpful since the event
would start at 2 pm when the sun is so high.
☾ Shades - same purpose as the cap it would be your shield
for the sun lol
☾ Waterproof case - this is a must have! though if you don't have
one there are vendors outside the event selling those waterproof case.
This is very helpful because for sure you want to take pictures
while you're having fun.
☾ Small bag - Hydromanila stated that no big bags allowed and you
won't be so comfy having a jansport bagpack right?
So small bags or string bags are the best bags to have since you won't be
having so many things with you. It would be just your
wallet, phone, face towel and ticket. Just the important things.
☾ Liquid lipstick - for those kikay girls who still want to be picture-on-point,
liquid lipstick is your best friend after all it lasts longer than lipstick.
☾ Sneaker - I suggest wearing a sneaker than a sandals. Thought I read
some comments that wearing sandals would be more comfy than wearing
a sneaker because you will get wet and having a wet sneaker is not
a very nice feeling. But I say different, it's it's better to wear sneakers because
it's a music festival for sure its crowded and people are jumping and having
their good time. So its very possible that some may step on your foot which is so
painful. TBH one of friends wore a sandals and she wished she did not.

IT WAS A BLAST!
Last August 27, 2016 the long awaited Hydro Manila 2016 was held at
MOA Concernt Grounds. The music festival have more than 50 artist
to perform including my favorite bands: Up Dharma Down, Parokya ni Edgar,
and the legend Ely Biendia. This was my first time attending a music festival
because this would be my chance to Ely live.
So the event was supposed to start at 2pm and the gates was supposed
to open at 1pm. But it didn't happen and it got messed up. My friends and I
are already there at 2pm and we saw nothing. They we're just starting to set up but
there are already a few people who are waiting. But it was so hot outside so we
decided to go back at the mall. At 5:30 pm we went back and they gates are still
not yet open for the GOLD. But VIPs are already inside the event.
I believe it was almost pm when they opened the gates.
Before we went inside, line by line they told us to get our bags down.
And there was a dogs sniffing the bag for you know checking if there's a drugs.
The time got messed up because of the delay and bad weather.
So the time table they had was now useless. Though the DJs
were good specially duece manila! I just became a fan lol.
Before the Up Dharma Down performed there was several
hugotans. Sadly, only Armin was able to performed because
the equipment for band got wet. This is so disappointing but
Armin did a great job doing acoustics her vocal was JUST <33 p="">
The performance was followed by Abra and that time we're getting
excited because we all knew that after Abra's performance
PAROKYA NI EDGAR NA!! And the good thing is that my friends
and I are almost at the front. But a guy told us PNE and Ely Buendia
won't make it and we're all WTF. Seriously T_T so disappointing huhuhu
Everyone was chanting "PA-ROK-YA! PA-ROK-YA!" and
even gesturing letter P sign with their hands.
But moved on hahaha Joyce Pring and her brother Victor Pring
was the next one to perform. Joyce Pring still looking Goddess though
I feel like she gained weight but still Queen.
At 12:30 am I guess we went out the wet zone to have
dinner and water. because the last time we drink and eat
was 1pm huhuhuhu. Then later we also went home.
It was really a blast experience thought I didn't saw
PNE and E.B. but next time. There's always a next time,
probably this won't be my last music festival! :)
