Little Tokyo in Makati

A taste of Tokyo in Manila!

Hi guys! Today's blog post is about the little village of
Japanese Restaurants in Makati called Little Tokyo!

I've been wanting to visit this place since forever
and finally I was here. Little Tokyo is located at
2277 Chino Roces Ave, Pasong Tamo Corner Amorsolo Street, Makati,
Legazpi Village, Makati, Metro Manila.
It was near Makati Square.

Little Tokyo is the home of Japanese Restaurants owned by Japanese owners.
If you're an avid fan of Japanese foods you must visit this place.

Before visiting this place I did a lot of research (lol).
First, I find out what are the restaurants within the village
and what are their specialties. In Little Tokyo each restaurants have their own specialty.

We first tried the restaurant called "Kagura"

Their specialty are noodles

Since our goal was to try every restaurant and
taste their specialty we just ordered their Okonomiyaki.

Okonomiyaki s a Japanese savoury pancake containing a variety of ingredients.
The name is derived from the word okonomi, meaning "what you like" or "what you want",
and yaki meaning "grilled" or "cooked"

This is the what the store looks like from our table.
I'm not trying to bad mouth or anything but the
staffs or rather the filipina waitresses aren't so accommodating.

When we entered the store there was only 2 customers and the other
tables are already reserved. But they didn't inform us before we entered.
So I asked where we should seat because they entertain us outside
but the other waitress said "reserved na po kasi" so we're like
"sana sinabi agad" but since we're in a good mood we'll just leave
than makipagtalo pa that they entertain us then wala palang avaible seat.
But when we're about to leave the other waitress said that they have
an available seat and she just took the reserved sign in one of the tables.

But the food was good!

For the second restaurant we tried "Hana"

Unlike the waitresses at the past restaurant the staffs here
are really friendly and accommodating.

Since the shop's specially is their takoyaki
we tried it. Aside from that we also ordered
ramen, salmon sashimi and udon salad.

Takoyaki  is a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based
batter and cooked in a special moulded pan. It is typically filled with minced or
diced octopus, tempura scraps, pickled ginger, and green onion.

We also tried their shaved ice.

Overall the food was good specially their takoyaki.
It's yummier than the other takoyaki I've tried plus
it was really huge which made it so sulit! :)

We're all ready full so we didn't try the other shops.
But there is always a next time!:)

I really like the ambiance of the place.

Before visiting here make sure that the shop
you want to visit is open because some of them
are closed on Sundays.

So that's it! :)
Thanks for reading!
See you on my next post!

xoxo,
hazel
